About Ministry of Energy (Petroleum Division)
The Ministry of Energy and Petroleum Division is a federal ministry of the Government of Pakistan. Its job is to discover all the petroleum and gas reserves and supply them to meet the needs of Pakistan.And co-ordinate development of Natural Resources of Energy and Minerals. This ministry was formed in 1977. Its headquarter is in Islamabad. Ahmed Irfan Aslam is the Minister of Natural Resources and Mohammad Ali is the Minister of Petroleum. The ministry was converted into the Petroleum Division in August 2017. And the division was merged into the Ministry of Energy.

Eligibility Criteria and Educational Qualification
GIS/Application Manager : BS Computer Science/IT/GIS (16 years of education) or equivalent from any HEC recognized institution/university.Minimum 5 years post qualification relevant experience; Maximum age 35 years.
GIS/Database Administrator : BS Computer Science/IT/GIS (16 years of education) or equivalent from any HEC recognized institution/university.Minimum 3 years post qualification relevant experience; Maximum age 30 years.
Network/System Administrator : BS Computer Science/IT (16 years of education) or equivalent from any HEC recognized institution/university.Minimum 3 years post qualification relevant experience; Maximum age 30 years.
GIS Developer : BS Geoinformatics/GIS/Computer Science (16 Years of Education) or Equivalent from Any HEC Recognized Institutions/University. Minimum 3 years post qualification relevant experience; Maximum age 30 years.
Content Writer : BS English/Media Studies/CS/IT/GIS (16 Years of Education) or Equivalent from Any HEC Recognized Institutions/University. Minimum 3 years post qualification relevant experience; Maximum age 30 years
IT Coordinators : BS Computer Science/IT/GIS (16 Years of Education) or Equivalent from Any HEC Recognized Institutions/University. Maximum age 28 years.
Basic Terms and Conditions
The positions are purely need and merit based contractual and therefore not worth any claim for extension/regularization or permanency in view of the fact that no such sanctioned or permanent positions exist in the Mineral wing or Petroleum Division.
The indicated age and experience requirement will be counted as on the closing date.
The period of contract will be a maximum of 2 years subject to approval of the operational phase of the project.
Selected candidates will have to join within 30 days of issuance of offer letter, Failing which the position will be offered to the next candidate.
Employment terms and conditions will be as per Finance Division Guidelines for PSDP Projects.

Interested candidates are advised to must go through the job description uploaded on the ministries website(https:/petroleum.gov.pk) before applying for the position for better aligning with their qualification and experience.
The Government Servant and Employees' Corporate/Autonomous/Semi Autonomous Bodies need to submit NOC from their employer at the time of interview if shortlisted.
The candidates should provide original degree and other documents along with an experience certificate at the time of their interview.
Only Shortlisted Candidates Will Be Called for Interview no TA/DA Will Be Paid for Interview.
The Project Management Reserves the Right to Accept or Reject any Applications Without Assigning Any Reason.
